Weekly Training/Racing Schedule (All Dates, Locations and Times Subject to Change):

Note: Bad weather may not cancel practice, it may be moved to another area.

June 23th-29th (Summer evening training schedule in effect: 5:00 PM for sprinters, field athletes and young runners, 5:50 for girls and junior high boys, 6:15 for high school boys)

Friday- NOTC Track Meet (St. Martins)
Saturday- John Curtis (Curtis Varsity Runners)
Sunday- On Your Own

Meet Information:

Our race on Friday will be for every runner on the team.  It is not an AAU or USATF competition, it is a track meet for everyone.  The race will begin for 7 PM so we will meet one hour prior.  The race will be held at St. Martins High School in Metairie.  Once again, even to my runners just training this summer, this is a race you will be running.

Weekly Notes:

Signup for the AAU Club Championships in Orlando will happen this week.  Please let coach Chaz know as soon as possible of your intentions to go or not to go to the meet that week.  We will have practice as normal with Coach Preson, Howie, and Fernando on those day.

There is still some shirts and singlets available for purchase.  Mostly size smalls are available.  Just speak to coach Chaz about it at practice.

Recent Events:

We had a great turnout to both the 2 mile race Wednesday at City Park and the time trial on Saturday.  Remember, it is extremely hot this time of year and you most likely will not be coming away with personal bests, but we still aim to push ourselves and run the best times possible.

Also, this weekend, a few of our runners competed in the USATF race in McComb and I will update this when I know their times and places.

Harahan 10-Day Forecast.  If it is raining around workout time, I will be updating changes in practice schedule on twitter which will automatically load onto the right side of this page.  You can check for updates there.  Please do not call or text several hours before practice even begins.  The weather around here changes swiftly and there is no way to tell what it will look like around practice time.  Between 30-40 minutes before practice I will tweet if practice is changing locations, but I will not tweet if it remains the same.  If practice location changes, 99% of the time it will change to John Curtis High School which is located on Jefferson Highway in River Ridge.
